Stanford Sites v5.3.0 Released – 9/26/2024

Release Notes

Version 5.3.0 was a minor release and included the following:

Opportunities

• Alpha version of Opportunities content type 
• Build a new taxonomy hierarchy widget with parent terms as field labels

Accessibility

• Remove alt attribute on news card images
• Ability to add aria-label or aria-labelledby to links
• Basic page card grid titles get proper focus state
• Dek and date added to the News card display
• Event subheadline text changed from H2 to bold
• Restored outline focus state for card links

Intranet

• Caching for responses from Workgroup API to avoid timeouts affecting Stanford Sites Intranet
• Ability to circumvent calls to Workgroup API for a single site, if needed, to mitigate timeouts

Lists Paragraph

• Lists Paragraph now has an option to display Basic Pages alphabetically by title

Search

• Fixes for presentation of HTML lists in search results when using Algolia search
• Enabled search api processor to add spaces between html tags
• Delete algolia records immediately upon entity deletion

Administrative use

• Tag to identify Stanford Sites as SWS-Managed for SiteImprove
• Ability to tag sites by Site Type for reporting

Other

• Added relative internal link validation option for link fields
• Improved usage information for media in the Media Library
• Additional HTML attributes to the WSYIWYG allowed list
• Updates to decoupled menu
• Require course link url field
• Adjust xmlsitemap to submit with the canonical domain
• Refactor event mini-calendar to use table structure
