Stanford Sites v5.4.1 Released – 2/13/2025

Release Notes

Version 5.4.1 was a maintenance release and included the following:

Roles

• Created a new role called Site Reviewer that will allow access to view unpublished pages
• Updated notification email to provide more accurate and relevant welcome message when a site manager adds a new privileged user 

Enhanced Search

• Site Managers now have access to add Algolia to improve their site search

Accordion

• Accessibility fixes
• Improved display for accordions on full-width pages

Content Management

• New content management pages for People, Events and News, featuring filtering by their respective taxonomies

Accessibility

• Site title is now a visually hidden h1 on the homepage to create appropriate header order and to support SEO
• Adjusted Skip Secondary Nav anchor link
• Allowed all language options in CKeditor
• Added aria-live:polite to modals

Social Links in the Local Footer

• Improved help text 
• Support for Flickr, Bluesky, Github, and Threads
• Updated X icon

Refinements to Stanford Basic design

• Removed max-width on Intro Text and Drop Cap Text styles
• Removed paragraph line length
• Improved styling for the Quote Text style
• Reduced spacing on News lists
• Reduced spacing on Event lists
• Adjustment to spacing in two- and three-column layouts

• Updated Chicago citation format markups for date year issue
