Categorizing media in your media library
Tagging and organizing your photos, videos, files and other media can make it easier to find them later. You can tag them by where they will be used on the site, by program or department name, or even by subject matter.
How to Add a New Category
In order to categorize your media, you must first set up categories. Navigate to Structure and select Taxonomy.
- Click List terms within Media Tags.
- Click Add term.
- Enter the name of the Category under the Name field.
- Click Save.
- Repeat to add more categories.
Keep in mind that you do not need to recreate “Type” or anything you would see in the title for the Media Item since those are already available filters.
