Event RSS Feed

Stanford Sites provides an RSS feed of event listings. RSS feeds can be used to share your events with external services, such as your calendar integrations, mailing list software, or other event aggregators.

About the Feed

The Event RSS feed utilizes standard RSS markup and features the most recent events listed on your site. The feed does not include unpublished events. To access the RSS feed for your site, add the path /events/all/rss to your site's URL.

The feed can also be filtered by event type. To filter the feed, replace "all" with the corresponding argument from your Event Type taxonomy.

For example, if you have events categorized under "Lectures", you can create an RSS feed displaying only those events by using a URL like this:

https://[yoursite].stanford.edu/events/lectures/rss

Creating an RSS Subscription Link

While RSS subscriptions for events and blogs are less prevalent than in the past, offering an RSS feed for events remains a valuable option for certain audiences. If RSS is important to your users, providing a simple subscription link is straightforward.

You can create a link directly to your site's event feed (events/all/rss.)  There is an RSS feed icon available in the text editor. The user's browser or RSS reader will handle the subscription process. An example is shown below:
