Add Social Media & Marketing Tools
Third-party tools can be deployed via Google Tag Manager. This service allows tracking tools to be added within containers and then added to your site to support conversion tracking, site analytics, remarketing, social sharing, and more.
Supported marketing and analytics tools
The following tools are supported through Google Tag Manager on Stanford Sites:
- HotJar
- Marketo
- Facebook Pixel
If you would like to suggest additional marketing or analytic tools that can be deployed via Google Tag Manager, please submit a request through the Services portal.
Social media sharing options
Site owners can add enhanced social media sharing via Google Tag Manager. The following social sharing 3rd party services have been tested on Stanford Sites.
Note: these services are often fee-based, and Stanford Web Services does not provide direct support for these tools.
Adding and managing GTM containers
For security purposes, Stanford Sites does not allow direct access to Google Tag Manager settings. To add a new GTM container to your site (or to manage previously added containers), please submit a request through the Services portal, noting the URL and related container ID. Please also note in the request if your site has a previously-created Google Tag Manager account, or if you will need assistance creating a new account.
