Manage Content by Type

Stanford Sites provides content overviews for Events, News, Opportunities, Basic Page and People to allow you to search and sort within these content types using taxonomy and other important features.

These views are all available as options off of the main content administration page (/admin/content) or by clicking on “All Content."

Each of these content-specific lists will allow you see additional information about each piece of content:

  • Type. Basic Page Type, Event Type, News Type, People Type, or Opportunity Type. This field will also show any Shared Tags.
  • Created by. The user who created the content
  • Last updated. The last date the content was updated
  • Updated by. The last user who updated the content.
  • Status. Published or unpublished
  • Operations. This allows you to edit or delete the content
  • Other. Other content specific fields are called out below.

You can also use additional filters to winnow down the list of content so that you can review the content or perform bulk operations on a group of content, including the Type, Shared Tags, and more.

How to use these lists

Use these lists to:

  • Bulk tag pages with a taxonomy term
  • Bulk publish or unpublish
  • See stale content by sorting by last updated
  • Check for duplicates by sorting by title
  • Bulk delete

Manage Basic Pages

This view has two unique fields you can use to evaluate the metadata associated with these pages.

  • Image. Indicates if the page has a featured image selected in the Page Metadata.
  • Description. Indicates if the page has a description entered in the Page Metadata.

Manage Events

Events, especially when using importers, can be quite numerous. Use this view to bulk delete events.

  • Date & Time. Indicates when the event will occur.
  • Imported. Shows whether the page was imported as an Event.

Important notes about imported and local events

  • This view has a small bug which shows all imported events by default. Select "Any" from the Imported filter to see all events.
  • Events imported before 6/27/2025 will have their imported status set to "no."

Manage News

This view includes one distinctive field

  • News Publishing Date. Indicates what date the article was published.

Manage Opportunities

This view features two unique fields.

  • Application Deadline. Specifies the date and time by which applications must be submitted.
  • Opportunity Filters. Indicates the associated opportunity filter.

Manage People

Manage all content related to individuals.

  • Imported. Indicates whether the page was imported as a Person page.
