Utility Navigation
Utility navigation on a website refers to a set of secondary links typically found at the top right corner or in the header area. These links help users quickly access essential, but less content-focused, tools or information—like help pages, giving forms, or application forms. Unlike the main navigation, which guides users through core sections of the site, utility navigation supports overall usability and convenience.
Please note: Utility Navigation links do not currently appear on mobile/tablet screen sizes at this time. This enhancement is planned for the next release.
Editing the Utility Navigation
- Navigate to Site Settings by going to the
Configuration>System>Site Settings
. - Click on the arrow next to Site Header Options to expand the section.

- Click on the arrow to the left of Utility Navigation to expand the section.

- You have two options for customizing the Utility Navigation:
- Create a Header Button: This will display as a red button on the site. Use this option for prominent actions or links you want to highlight.
- Create Header Links: You can add up to three Header Links. These links will appear next to the Header Button and above the site search field.
Note the Limit: You can add a maximum of three links in the Utility Navigation section.
